Singapore Budget 2024
The Budget 2024 announcement by the Finance Minister will take place on 16 February 2024. Tax changes for the funds industry are expected this year as the application period for funds tax exemption schemes (13D/13O/13U) will be expiring on the 31 December 2024. This section will cover key highlights from the Budget along with the tax implications for the private funds industry.
Section 10L
Singapore has recently introduced new rules on taxation of gains on the sale of foreign assets for certain entities without adequate substance, known as the 10L rules and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore has issued a e-Tax Guide on 8 December 2023 on these rules. The speakers will discuss these new requirements and share case studies to help navigate these new tax changes.
Indian Tax Developments
India is a bright spot for the private funds industry despite overall transaction volumes are down. The speaker will cover some key Indian tax updates.
