Marco advises on a wide range of offshore regulatory matters, including beneficial ownership, corporate governance, CRS and FATCA, data protection, economic substance, financial crime prevention (including anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, counter-proliferation financing, and international sanctions), licensing applications and perimeter advice, and virtual assets. His clients are predominantly financial institutions, including banks, investment funds, investment managers, and advisers. As well as advisory work, Marco assists clients with preparing a variety of regulatory compliance documentations and managing regulatory audits, inspections and investigations.
Timothy is an Investment Funds and Corporate partner at Walkers' Singapore. He specialises in advising private equity, venture capital and hedge fund managers on a broad spectrum of legal issues including fund formations and structuring, acquisitions and disposals and fund restructurings.
Tim also has an active corporate practice which includes providing corporate advice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate governance. Tim acts for clients across Asia-Pacific, including Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and Indonesia. Tim has extensive knowledge of the hedge funds and private equity market in Japan and is a specialist in the structuring and formation of open-ended and closed-ended unit trust fund structures.
