Milena Nikolova
Partner at Aera Funds Management Pte. Ltd.Milena is Partner at Aera VC, a global venture capital firm investing in breakthrough technologies that accelerate the world to a more sustainable future. She focuses on radical and rapidly scalable climate solutions. Milena has over 20 years of finance experience, spanning investment banking, wealth management, venture capital investing and start up advisory. Milena will co-chair the Climate Solutions Committee at the SVCA which is in the process of being set up with the core purpose of mobilising the community around climate change action and sharing best practices.
Liam Woods
Head of Sales at Apex Fund Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.Liam is the Head of Sales for Apex Group in Asia Pacific. He lead the firms strategy and market development across the region, including heading Apex’s ESG Solutions offering working with range of local, regional and international clients in alternatives. He brings 10+ years of experience in the alternative asset management industry, primarily with asset servicing firms and offers international perspectives having worked in Europe, the US and now Asia.
Marie Cheong
Founding Partner at Wavemaker Pacific Partners Pte LtdMarie is a Founding Partner of Wavemaker Impact, the first VC backed climate tech venture builder in SouthEast Asia. Wavemaker Impact co-founds start ups with experienced entreprenuers with the aim of building a portfolio of scaleable companies that can abate 10% of the global carbon budget.
Marie has worked with over 20 entrepreneurs to help them build their businesses. In the last two years, Marie has focused exclusively on launching climate tech startups in Southeast Asia and is passionate about increasing the pipeline of women founders in the sector.
Prior to joining Wavemaker Impact, Marie led the Venture Build program at ENGIE Factory, where she was responsible for building a portfolio of 10 climate tech ventures valued at over US $8m at pre-seed round.
Marie was also the general manager at a SAAS startup and a senior member of KPMG's Digital + Innovation team. Her career also includes stints in management consulting and in a construction company where she specialized in operations strategy, business development, cost reduction and process improvement.
Marie has a MBA from the National University of Singapore where she graduated as valedictorian and holder of the Panasonic Marketing Award.
Regula Schegg
Managing Director of Circulate CapitalRegula is Circulate Capital’s Managing Director. She oversees Circulate Capital Ocean Fund’s investment portfolio in Southeast Asia. Together with her team, Regula manages asset allocations as well as due diligence, portfolio management of fund investments. Regula is an experienced global professional with over 20 years' of leadership, business development, project management, finance, controlling and social enterprise/start-up experience.
Regula graduated with an MBA (Honors) in Global Management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management, USA, with and Undergraduate Studies in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and France. She is an Aspen Institute Business and Society First Movers Fellow. Regula speaks German, English and French.
Yongcheng Ong
Principal at Insignia Ventures Partners Pte. Ltd.Yongcheng is a Principal with the investment team at Insignia Ventures Partners. Previously he was with Qiming Venture Partners covering growth stage technology investments in Southeast Asia and India. Prior to his venture capital career, Yongcheng did stints at Sea (Corporate Development & Strategy) and Deutsche Bank (Structured Commodity Finance). He graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.
