Daniel Oehling is a Partner with BCG’s Singapore office. Daniel leads BCG’s ESG work with investors across Asia-Pacific. His experience spans across ESG due diligences, ESG value creation accelerators, and ESG impact investment.
Chris Lee joined SoftBank Investment Advisers in March 2019. Mr. Lee has over 15 years of experience in private equity investing. His past roles include private equity investment positions at GIC, CVC Capital Partners and Headland Capital Partners. Mr. Lee has led numerous investments across Southeast Asia and Korea, holding various board positions today. Mr. Lee graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
Hemal Mirani rejoined HarbourVest's senior management team in Asia in 2015 to focus on investments and investor relations across the Asia Pacific region.
Hemal first joined HarbourVest in 1997 and spent eleven years developing relationships with leading Asian private equity managers and working with our investors and consultants across the region to advance and optimize their private market investment programs. She rejoined HarbourVest after six years with CVC Capital Partners in Hong Kong, where she was head of investor relations in Asia and Chief Administrative Officer.
Hemal received a BA in Commerce from Sydenham College (Bombay) in 1989, an MA in International Studies with a Japanese language concentration from the Joseph H. Lauder Institute, and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School in 1997. The latter two were part of a joint degree program at the University of Pennsylvania. Hemal speaks fluent Japanese.
Laurien leads IFC’s Startup Catalyst program, which invests in accelerators, incubators, and seed funds in global emerging markets, as well as leading IFC’s work on gender and economic inclusion across venture capital and private equity (direct and through funds) globally. Prior to this, she spent over a decade investing in PE and VC funds, and PE and VC direct deals, across Asia and Africa with IFC. She is currently based in Bangkok.
Herston is a Founding Managing Partner at 1982 Ventures. 1982 Ventures is an early-stage fintech focused VC firm in Southeast Asia. He has lived and worked in in Asia for over a decade with extensive experience in VC, fintech, capital markets, IPOs and international listings. He has a Masters in Economics and an INSEAD MBA.
