Kelvin is the General Counsel of Openspace and has been with the firm since 2018. He oversees all legal, compliance and transaction execution matters for the firm, including in relation to the firm’s investments, funds and internal operations.

Prior to joining Openspace, he was a M&A specialist with an international law firm, working in their London, Tokyo, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore offices. He started his legal career in 2008 and has more than 15 years of experience in the private equity and venture capital sector.

Matt is the APAC Head of Funds & Investment Management, consisting of the Private Funds Group (PFG) and the Asset Management & Financial Regulatory Group.

Matt has extensive experience establishing private investment funds, including in particular hedge funds and private real estate funds, advising on fund structuring and legal and regulatory aspects. Matt has worked on some of the largest hedge fund launches in the region. He also acts for institutional investors on their investments in funds and separate accounts.

Matt is a member of the global AIMA Council (Board of Directors) and was previously co-chair of the AIMA Hong Kong Regulatory Sub Committee and chair of ANREV’s Regulatory and Tax Committee.

Kai-Niklas Schneider is a Partner in the Singapore office and a member of the APAC Private Funds Group.

Kai is a US qualified lawyer with over 20 years of specialist experience in the funds sector and advises clients on the formation of and investment in a wide variety of private equity funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds and credit funds. He also counsels clients on co-investments, secondaries and spin outs. As a member of Clifford Chance's global Executive Leadership Group, he leads the firm's highly successful global focus on financial investors. Kai is the co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Singapore Funds Industry Group (SFIG) and a member of the Advocacy Subcommittee of the Singapore Venture & Private Capital Association (SVCA) and the Singapore Executive Committee of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA). He is ranked Band 1 in Chambers Global and Legal 500.

She is a qualified lawyer in both Luxembourg and Germany and has over 10 years of experience in the formation of regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds. Maren Stadler-Tjan is specialised in real estate, private equity, infrastructure and debt funds. Her areas of expertise include general regulatory matters (including cross-border distribution related advise), co-investment arrangements and ongoing advise relating to asset managers and fund entities. Maren also has an interest in ESG and is leading our initiative on that front for the Luxembourg funds practice.
