With over 15 years of experience in private equity, Ridwan has led mid-cap buyouts and expansion capital transactions worth close to US$500 million across Asia. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering and an A.B. in Economics from Dartmouth College. He was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Shane Chesson is a Founding Partner of Openspace Ventures and has over 21 years of experience in venture capital investing and technology banking. Openspace is a leading investor in Southeast Asia technology companies with 40 team members across a Singapore HQ and offices in Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila and Ho Chi Minh City. It has invested in over 50 companies and deployed more than US$500m in the region since inception. Shane has served on the board or as an observer for GoJek, FinAccel, Biofourmis, Whispir, TradeGecko, Halodoc, Finnomena, Pluang, Octopus, Neuroglee, Validus, CXA, BeautyMNL, Topica, among others.
Prior to co-founding Openspace, Shane spent fourteen years in investment banking, with roles including Managing Director and Co-Head, Technology Investment Banking at Citigroup Asia-Pacific. During this time, he worked closely with Asian technology companies, completing over $10bn of transactions with deal sizes from $30mn-$3bn. Before his career in investment banking, Shane was a strategy consultant with Bain & Company, and GEM Consulting in Australia.
Shane holds a Bachelor’s of Law and a Bachelor’s of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD Singapore, where he was a recipient of the IAA Asian Campus scholarship.
Shane has been a board member of SVCA and co-chair of the VC sub-committee since 2021. Shane acts as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for Aidha, offering entrepreneurship opportunities for female migrant workers.
Willson Cuaca is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at East Ventures, a pioneering and leading sector-agnostic venture capital firm in Southeast Asia. Willson transformed East Ventures into a multi-asset platform, managing multiple funds from seed to growth with over 300 portfolio companies across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia that is the firm’s central focus. Under Willson’s leadership, East Ventures captured Indonesia’s early wave of digital transformation and is an early backer of some of the largest tech companies in Southeast Asia, such as Tokopedia, Traveloka, Ruangguru, Waresix, ShopBack, Xendit, 99.co.
Gabriel is a Partner and Investment Committee Member at Dymon Asia PE, and previously worked at Baring Private Equity Asia, Morgan Stanley, and the Singapore Government. In his 15 years in private equity, he has successfully worked on investments and divestments totalling over $1.5 billion. Gabriel led the buyouts of German-owned engineering firm RAM Spreaders, Asia Medical Enviro (AMES), Rudi’s Fine Foods, UEMS and SGX-listed Select Group’s privatization. He also oversaw the full divestments of AMES, Rudi’s, UEMS and Nurture Education. At Baring, Gabriel was involved in Baring’s investments in Hsu Fu Chi (and its exit to Nestlé SA), PSB Academy and PT Cardig Aero Services Tbk (and its IPO in Indonesia). Gabriel served as Chairman of RAM Spreaders and AMES, and as Board Director of Select, Rudi’s, Continental Deli, UEMS and Asia Facility Solutions. He is also co-Chair of the SVCA ASEAN Connect Committee. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Gabriel received his B.A. in Economics (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Chicago and M.A. from Harvard University.
Sunil specializes in fund selection, due diligence, negotiations, and monitoring of Asian investments ex-China, specifically in India, Australia, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Korea. He also actively participates in all fund investment decisions and is involved in the sourcing, screening, execution, monitoring, and exiting of growth and buyout co-investments. Sunil manages relationships with several of Adams Street’s managers and sits on advisory boards of more than a dozen private equity firms within the Adams Street Partners portfolio. He is currently Chairman of the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA) and has been a member of the SVCA Board since 2016. He is also a member of Adams Street’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee.
Melissa Ng is a Partner in the Corporate M&A practice and Head of the Indonesia Focus Group at Clifford Chance. She advises on M&A, joint ventures, and divestments for a range of clients, including multinational companies, regional conglomerates, and financial sponsors. Melissa spent two years working in Jakarta and has a wealth of cross-sector experience of transactions in Indonesia. Melissa is ranked as a Band 1 practitioner for Corporate/M&A: International in Singapore and in Indonesia by Chambers Asia Pacific 2024. She is qualified in England and Wales and in Singapore.
Jovasky Pang is the CEO of Archipelago Capital Partners (ACP), overseeing the investment strategy and portfolio performance of the funds. He is also the Chairman of the investment committee.
Before ACP, Jovasky worked with Temasek Holdings since 2004 and subsequently its financial institution investment arm, Fullerton Financial Holdings. As the Global Head of Commercial Banking, he was responsible for investments into financial institutions and the strategy and management of these companies.
Besides investments, Jovasky has extensive experience in managing banks. He was seconded to Bank Danamon in Indonesia to lead their SME & commercial banking business and also served six years in China as CEO of BOC Fullerton Community Bank. While in China, he developed BOC Fullerton into China’s largest rural bank network and was named Banking CEO of the year (small bank category) by the Economic Observer.
Jovasky began his career at a global consulting firm, McKinsey & Company. He works extensively with clients in markets (e.g. Korea, China, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan etc.) and is one of the founders of McKinsey Financial Institutions Practitioner in Southeast Asia.
Jovasky holds a B.A. (Honours) and M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
Pandu Patria Sjahrir is a seasoned investor in Southeast Asia. He is focused on Indonesia’s energy transition and the digitalization of its economy. In the nation’s digital economy, Pandu is a Managing Partner at Indies Capital and Founding Partner of AC Ventures, a leading venture capital firm backing early-stage tech startups focused on Indonesia and ASEAN. The firm’s vision is to be a generational partner to founders driving positive societal change and economic impact in Indonesia and beyond. In 2021, Pandu was appointed as Chairman of the Indonesia Fintech Association, an umbrella organization for all players in the financial sector that leverage technology to empower their businesses. He is also listed as Commissioner of the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
Raymond has over 25 years of banking and private equity experiences in SEA with particular focus in Indonesia. Raymond is currently Chief Executive of Bank BNI in Singapore where he oversees overall management of the business in Singapore and the region. Formerly, he was Partner at TVM Capital Healthcare and Principal at Baring Private Equity Asia (now BPEA EQT) where he focussed on Indonesia for all sectors and healthcare for SEA. Prior to that he had numerous years of investment banking and management consulting experience with leading institutions including Rothschild, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, BCG and McKinsey. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and BSc/BE (Hons) from The University of Western Australia.
Aristo was until recently the Managing Director of Hermina Hospitals, where he led the growth and transformation of the company from 22 hospitals in early 2017 to become the largest private hospital network in Indonesia with 47 hospitals in 2023. Aristo serves as a Senior Advisor for Openspace Ventures, the venture capital fund investing in early-stage technology companies in Southeast Asia. He is also a Board member of Bina Artha Ventura, one of the largest microfinance companies in Indonesia. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and MBA degree from Dartmouth College.
Ashish Shastry has recently founded a new Asian middle market PE firm called Analog Partners (under the Alto Partners platform). Prior to Analog Partners, Ashish was a Partner at KKR for seven years, serving as the Co-Head of Private Equity for KKR Asia Pacific and the Head of Southeast Asia for KKR. Previously, Ashish spent 18 years as a PE investor at Northstar Group and TPG Capital. He started his career as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in New York. Ashish serves or has previously served on the boards of Goodpack, PropertyGuru, Maya Philippines (parent company of Maya Bank), Bank BTPN, Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings, Parkway Holdings and Parkway Trust Management (manager of Parkway Life REIT). Ashish graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. degree in economics (with honors) and currently serves on the advisory board of the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies.

Mr. Enrico Tanuwidjaja is currently the ASEAN economist for UOB Group with focus coverage on Indonesia, Thailand, and ASEAN thematic research such as in the areas of capital flows, regional trade connectivity, household debts, labour market developments, inter alia. Having most of his professional career spanning around 20 years, Mr. Tanuwidjaja has also published in key academic journals in the areas of monetary policy, financial markets, and other macroeconomic issues. Enrico was recognized as one of the top 10 ASEAN economists listed by Asiamoney. He graduated with Honors in Economics and obtained his Master’s degree in Economics from the National University of Singapore.
Tommy Teo leads Cercano’sSoutheast Asia investment team in Singapore.
Prior to joining Cercano, Tommy was an Executive Director with the NorthstarGroup, a Singapore headquartered private equity firm where he focused on growth and technology opportunities in Southeast Asia. Previously, Tommy was an investment banker with Citigroup in Singapore, and with PerellaWeinberg Partners and Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in New York. Tommy was also an analyst at hedge fund sponsor Capital Z Asset Management.
Tommy received his BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
